Phillip Braunstein, Ph.D.

President
Phillip Braunstein Alcalde studied philosophy at UCLA with a focus on logic and the philosophy of language—fields that anticipated today’s AI revolution, where large language models operate by structuring, parsing, and generating meaning through language itself. He went on to earn both a Master’s and Ph.D. in philosophy at Boston College, specializing in the intersection of language and being, engaging deeply with Plato, Nietzsche, and Heidegger. His doctoral work included translating Heidegger’s lectures on Nietzsche’s poetry and thought, exploring how language doesn’t just describe the world but actively brings it into being.

Phillip then moved into the business arena as CEO of a real estate development company, leading high-profile construction projects and investments in both physical assets and digital networks. His ventures span luxury real estate, renewable infrastructure, and early investments in networked digital assets such as bitcoin, ethereum, and NFTs. Today, he is applying his background in philosophy of language and ontology to frontier technologies, building companies that merge rigorous conceptual foundations with AI-driven automation and next-generation digital economies.
